I started on the Art Foundation Course at Chesterfield College on 10th September 2018. I’m having a wonderful, experimental time.  Finally I have landed in what I hope will become my natural habitat after I throw off the mantle of regulation and control that is required during a long and successful career in Children’s Services. I like to manipulate materials to create something wonderful.  For me art is not only about painting and drawing, although I seriously need to develop those skills, I like the materials in my hands. I think you can do something very expressive with almost anything. I like using inexpensive, natural and found materials and recycling. I bring other aspects of life  into my work such as family, loss, travel, politics and history.
